Margulies Perruzzi Architects, a Boston architectural and interior design firm, has been selected by Forrester Research Inc. to design 190,000 square feet of office space for the company’s new corporate headquarters at Cambridge Discovery Park in Cambridge.
Forrester, an independent research company, has outgrown its current home at 400 Technology Square in Cambridge and sought a space that could accommodate its flexible work style and growth needs, according to a statement.
Margulies Perruzzi Architects will provide interior architecture and design services for Forrester’s new space at Cambridge Discovery Park, a 27-acre campus owned and developed by The Bulfinch Cos. Inc. The project is expected to be completed in August 2011.
"We appreciate the energy, enthusiasm and creativity the Margulies Perruzzi Architects team brings to all of our projects," said Jean Baranowski, vice president of corporate services at Forrester Research. "They really understand Forrester’s collaborative culture, flexible work style, and our preference for a sustainable space. This understanding allows them to design distinctive offices for our employees and clients. We look forward to working with the team on this exciting new space."
In 1999, Margulies Perruzzi Architects completed the interior architectural design of Forrester’s 125,000-square-foot corporate headquarters at 400 Technology Square. Margulies Perruzzi Architects has since worked with Forrester on the design of its offices in San Francisco and Foster City, Calif.; Dallas and Amsterdam.
"Having worked together for 10 years on multiple projects, we are pleased to once again assist Forrester Research in creating a unique and flexible workplace to meet their needs as the company expands," said Marc Margulies, principal at Margulies Perruzzi Architects. "Sustainability is important to the employees and clients of both Forrester and Margulies Perruzzi Architects. The LEED Gold focus of this project was a significant opportunity and goal for both companies to pursue."
Leggat McCall Properties is providing project management services, and AHA Consulting Engineers is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering for the project. Forrester Research was represented by Richards Barry Joyce & Partners LLC.
