Elizabeth F. Mason has joined Boston-based Bernkopf Goodman LLP as a partner in its environmental practice group.

Mason has more than two decades of private and public sector experience as an environmental transactional/compliance attorney and litigator. She was formerly counsel at Anderson & Kreiger LLP in Cambridge, and a senior assistant regional counsel in the Boston office of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. In addition, she was an associate at Goodwin Procter LLP and Mintz Levin, both in Boston, and served as law clerk to Chief Justice Joseph P. Warner and the Honorable Benjamin Kaplan of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Mason’s expertise ranges from representing private, commercial and municipal clients in federal, state and local permitting, zoning and enforcement proceedings to guiding developers and property owners through the regulatory and compliance morass involved in the cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated properties.
