The state’s unemployment rate fell to 8.2 percent in February from 8.3 in January, according to the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
This is a result of the state adding more than 15,000 new jobs in February, according to a statement. The largest job gains were reported in education and health services (6,500), leisure and hospitality (4,300), and professional, scientific and business services (2,800).
