MassMutual Retirement Services Division’s call center has been awarded the "gold" award for the "Best Recruitment Campaign in the World" by ContactCenterWorld.com, North America.

MassMutual’s program was distinguished for its partnership with local colleges near its headquarters in Springfield, and its second site in Memphis, Tenn. MassMutual’s overall recruiting campaign also provides scholarship opportunities to local students and has co-developed a special college curriculum to help prepare local students for new positions in all MassMutual Call Centers, according to a statement.

This specially-designed curriculum includes training on the topics of customer service and financial services as well as FINRA Series 6 test preparation.

"We expect the first graduates from this program in about a year and look forward to the best and brightest of these to be joining the highly-qualified representatives who assist participants in retirement plans administered by MassMutual," said Gordon Pullan, director of MassMutual’s Retirement Services Call Center. "We have also implemented a bilingual English/Spanish hiring strategy to more effectively service our diverse participant population."

"We are so honored to be recognized for attracting and retaining highly-qualified call center associates who are well-equipped to assist MassMutual’s retirement plan participants," said Elaine Sarsynski, executive vice president of MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division and chairman and CEO of MassMutual International LLC.
