Middlesex Savings Bank recently appointed Michael G. McAuliffe as executive vice president and chief commercial banking officer.
In this role, McAuliffe will serve as a member of the senior management committee and have responsibility for commercial banking, including regional teams, investment real estate and cash management. McAuliffe assumes day-to-day operational and managerial responsibilities held by David Falwell, chief lending officer, who is retiring April 4.
McAuliffe is a 26-year veteran of middle market lending. For the past three years, he has served as senior vice president and market manager, providing portfolio management services for RBS Citizens. He also served as a member of the bank’s commercial banking council, and as the portfolio management wholesale task force communications team leader.
"I am pleased that Mike has joined Middlesex Savings Bank as head of our commercial banking effort," John Heerwagen, chairman, president and CEO of Middlesex Savings Bank, said in a statement. "He brings to the bank broad and deep experience in commercial banking and lending."
