Mary McCarthy has joined the firm as managing director of client services for Vanasse Hangen Brustlin’s national land development practice.

In this new role, McCarthy will work closely with VHB’s land development leadership team to enhance the firm’s private sector business relationships and develop new business opportunities nationally.

She will also provide VHB’s real estate development clients with value-added branding, graphic design, and integrated communications services.

Prior to joining VHB, McCarthy was a principal with an international A/E firm where she led client development across 15 offices in the U.S. and overseas. She also directed branding and integrated marketing communications programs for retail, office and mixed-use developments including a 1 million-square-foot mixed-use development in Chicago for General Growth Properties, according to a statement.

She holds a master’s and bachelor’s degree in architecture from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland and a Bachelor of Architecture from University of Dublin, Ireland.
