According to McGraw-Hill Construction, non-residential construction during November in the Boston metropolitan area jumped 21 percent to $484 million from the same time last year, and residential construction increased 19 percent from that time. Total construction increased 19 percent to $782 million. Year-to-date, those numbers increased 10 percent and 19 percent, respectively.

Throughout the state, non-residential construction increased 6 percent from November of last year, residential construction increased 31 percent, and non-building construction increased 96 percent. Total construction increased 30 percent to $1.2 billion. Year to date, those figures increased 6 percent, 23 percent, and 36 percent, respectively.
