Joanne C. McNamara of Burlington has joined Woburn-based Northern Bank & Trust Co. as vice president, information security officer.

Most recently, McNamara served as senior vice president/director of audit with Salem Five Bank after nine years with Century Bank and Trust Co. in Medford, where she was first vice president and audit director. Earlier in her career, she held internal audit positions with Eastern Bank, US Trust and Citizens Bank.

A graduate of Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, McNamara is a certified information systems auditor (CISA).
