Senior Executive Director of the YMCA Frank McDonald receives a $5,000 check from Senior Vice President of lending for Mechanics Cooperative Bank and Taunton YMCA Board Member Nancy Stokes. Also pictured is one of the YMCA Pre-school Classes (ages 2 years 9 months to 5 years). Fall River’s Mechanics Cooperative Bank has donated $5,000 to the Taunton YMCA’s annual Strong Kids Campaign, making the bank a community partner.

In addition to the monetary contribution, Mechanics Cooperative Bank Senior Vice President and Taunton YMCA Board Member Nancy Stokes is serving as a team captain for the individual fundraising campaign, according to a statement. Team Mechanics has a $5,000 goal and is raising funds at all branch locations and through internal employee contests and contributions.

"We not only support these amazing community organizations through charitable donations but our employees also contribute personally," said Stokes. "That is the value of a true community bank."
