Fall River-based Mechanics Cooperative Bank has donated $2,500 to P.R.I.D.E. Inc. (Preparatory Rehabilitation for Individual Development and Employment), a Taunton-based nonprofit.
P.R.I.D.E. works with individuals with disabilities, helping them to become "productive and valued members of their community," according to a statement.
"How proud we are to support P.R.I.D.E. Inc.," said Joseph T. Baptista Jr., president and CEO of Mechanics Cooperative Bank. "Their mission statement, aimed at improving the quality of life in our community is exactly where Mechanics Cooperative Bank is focusing our charitable contributions – we will continue to provide local support to great organizations like P.R.I.D.E. Inc. that directly impact our local community."
