Diane M. Medeiros has been promoted to the position of business development officer at Bay Coast Bank. In this role, she will oversee the bank’s merchant service program and help implement company-wide business development programs.

 Medeiros brings nearly 30 years of experience to her new position. She first joined the bank in 1984 as a teller and has served as assistant branch manager, assistant treasurer/branch manager, and business development coordinator.

 Medeiros holds an associates’ degree in business management from Bristol Community College and also completed the Massachusetts Bankers – New England School for Financial Studies’ two-year program in 2009.

 Medeiros is as a mentor in the SMILES Mentoring Program and a volunteer organizer for the Schwartz "Pushing Beyond Limits" half-marathon race. She also helps educate students about financial literacy as a Junior Achievement instructor and a volunteer with the annual Credit for Life Fair programs held at five local high schools.

 The promotion was announced by BayCoast Bank President and CEO Nicholas Christ, who said in a statement that Medeiros "has been a valued member of our BayCoast family for many years, and we are very pleased to promote her to this new role with our Bank. We know that her contributions will continue to be of tremendous benefit to the customers we serve."
