The Massachusetts eHealth Institute at MassTech (MeHI) recently announced it will award approximately $3.04 million in grants to seven state health care organizations.
The organizations, which work with a total of 78 partner organizations, will receive $434,000 each to support collaborative projects.
The recipients include:
- Behavioral Health Network, Springfield
- Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield
- Brockton Neighborhood Health Center, Brockton
- Cape Cod Healthcare, Hyannis
- Lowell General PHO, Lowell
- Reliant Medical Center, Worcester
- Whittier Independent Practice Association, Newburyport
The grants were made through MeHI’s Connected Communities Implementation Grant program.
Each project involves four or more organizations in a specific focus, such as hospitals, physician groups, civic and municipal organizations and at least one behavioral health or long-term and post-acute care organization.
The objectives of the Connected Communities Implementation Grant Program are to assist collaboration between organizations and to encourage the use of electronic health records to improve health care and reduce costs.
