Mello Promoted To VP Of Business Development At Citizens~Union Savings Bank

Paul Mello has been promoted to vice president of business development at New Bedford’s Citizens~Union Savings Bank.

Mello, of Fairhaven, joined Citizens~Union in June 2003 as an assistant treasurer/branch manager, and brings more than 30 years of banking experience to his new role.

As business development officer, Mello will be responsible for developing new business and retail account relationships throughout Citizens~Union’s footprint, the bank said. He will work closely with branch staff to assist their business development efforts in order to increase share in all Citizens~Union markets.

Mello is a board member of the Greater New Bedford Adult Day Care Center/Project Independence and has been a Junior Achievement classroom teacher since 1985.
