Former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino has been named to Hyde Park-based Blue Hills Bank’s board of directors.
"I have had a number of opportunities to join a variety of boards," Menino said in a statement. "Blue Hills Bank is my bank and a true community partner that has developed a proven track record of service and dedication to the people of Hyde Park and surrounding communities. I am excited to lend my knowledge and experience to this local company."
Blue Hills Bank recently acquired Nantucket Bank and became the title sponsor of the Boston waterfront concert venue formerly known as the Bank of American Pavilion. Blue Hills Bank has $1.5 billion in assets and plans to open two additional branches in Milton and Westwood.
