An audio equipment manufacturer company has almost doubled its footprint in Sudbury, bringing its home at 144 North Road, owned by Cummings Properties, to 95 percent occupancy.
Revolabs is undergoing its second expansion at the 63,000-square-foot property since it moved into 13,000 square feet in the proeprty last fall. The company will occupy more than 23,000 square feet of space when the expansion is complete.
Revolabs now occupies most of the third floor, which Cummings had been saving for a large user, said Eric Anderson, vice president for leasing.
"To get the building to 95 percent leased, we’re pretty pleased with that, especially in this economy," Anderson told Banker & Tradesman. "That’s a brand new building and it’s built to LEED-certifiable standards, and people frequently like that when they hear it."
"We continue to see quite a bit if expansion from life sciences and high-tech companies," Anderson added. "And green technology is very strong. We have a nice cluster of green tech companies in the Woburn area that has really taken off for us."
A manufacturer of wireless microphones and audio equipment, Revolabs makes products used in broadcasting, distance learning, webcasts and conference calls. The six-year-old company recently partnered with international distributors to reach Chinese and Russian markets, and also serves customers in Europe and Australia.
Cummings owns about 10 million square feet in its various properties. The entire portfolio is about 90 percent leased.
