Middlesex Savings Charitable Foundation has awarded Victoria Bernardini of Franklin the seventh annual A. James Lavoie Scholarship.
The $5,000 award is named in after the former president of Middlesex Savings Bank, who was committed to supporting education.
Bernardini, a graduate of Franklin High, plans to attend UMass-Dartmouth and study the history and cultures of the Middle East.
