Natick-based Middlesex Savings Bank has donated $75,000 to The Discovery Museums to support its plans for future expansion and an outdoor learning center.
Still in the development phases, the Acton-based museum’s plans include facilities enhancements; flexible spaces for teaching, learning and gathering; and improvements to visitor amenities. The Discovery Museums will also create an outdoor learning center with a universal-designed tree house and amphitheater.
"We are proud to support and continue our long-standing relationship with The Discovery Museums," Dana Neshe, executive vice president at Middlesex Saving Bank, said in a statement. "We believe that this expansion project will go a long way to continuing their commitment to teaching and inspiring young students to build their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics."
