MMBA LlogoKristin Langone will be taking the role of executive director of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association (MMBA) effective Oct. 1, Banker and Tradesman has learned, replacing outgoing director Kevin Cuff.

Langone currently serves as the education and events manager of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board (GBREB).

"It will be a great loss to us, but it’s a great opportunity for [Langone], and we’re very happy for her," said Gregory Vasil, CEO of GBREB.

Cuff, who had been executive director of the group for almost a decade, announced in May that he would be stepping down from the role by the end of the year, when his contract expired. At the time, Keith Andre, chairman of the MMBA, told Banker & Tradesman Cuff’s decision to depart was amicable.

According to an online profile, Langone joined the GBREB in 2007. She previously served as chief of staff for Boston City Councilor Jerry McDermott.
