Morrill Group, an independent insurance agency based in Norwood, has acquired Goldman Ernest & Liner Insurance Agency of Needham.

Goldman, Ernest & Liner Insurance Agency Inc. will operate as a subsidiary of Morrill Insurance. Stephen Liner will become vice president and head of commercial lines for the combined entities, according to a statement.

North Bridge Advisors Morrill Group, according to the firm’s managing director, Jerry Vigneron.

Morrill Group has offices in Norwood, Sudbury (Sudbury Insurance Agency) and Wrentham.
