Glen S. White, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Whitman’s Mutual Bank, has been re-elected to a three-year term as bank director.
White, of South Yarmouth, has served on the board since his election in 2000, according to a statement.
White, who has served as chief executive officer since 2004, has helped the bank grow from four to nine locations and from $118 million to $368 million in assets, according to a statement.
He joined the bank in April 1982 from Charlestown Savings Bank, and has served in a variety of roles, including treasurer, chief financial officer, president and chief executive officer.
A Reading native, he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Oklahoma City University, and graduated with honors from the National School of Banking program at Fairfield University in Connecticut.
