Whitman’s Mutual Bank has donated $500 in support of the Cape Verdean Association of Brockton’s annual celebration, and has been designated a bronze sponsor of the July festival.

The Cape Verdean Association of Brockton Inc., a nonprofit community based organization, provides education, health, civic, social and human services to the Cape Verdeans residing in the greater Brockton areas.

The association will hold its annual Cape Verdean Day on July 25, followed on July 31 by a gala dinner.

"We’re happy to support the Cape Verdean Association; its annual celebration is a highlight event in the Brockton community and beyond," said William Morse, president of Mutual Bank.
