Waltham’s NRT Insurance Agency, a homeowner’s insurance provider and an affiliate of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, has added Narragansett Bay Insurance Company to its list of major insurance carriers and product offerings.

"Narragansett Bay is committed to providing affordable homeowners insurance in the areas it serves, which includes markets where we’re strong," said Kathie Knowles, president of NRT Insurance Agency.

Narragansett Bay is licensed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York and New Jersey, according to a statement.

"Narragansett evaluates individual properties for their insurance worthiness regardless of where they are located," Knowles said. "This is especially important in coastal states where we sometimes have difficulty placing homeowners coverage."

She praised Narragansett’s ShelterPride risk management and underwriting program for helping customers minimize potential loss situations and lower their premiums.

In addition to Narragansett Bay Insurance, NRT Insurance Agency’s provider partners include Travelers, Safeco, MetLife, Liberty Mutual, Firemen’s Fund, Hanover and Chubb, according to a statement.
