Needham Bank has donated $5,000 to the Charles River YMCA Reach Out campaign, which helps children in Needham, Wellesley and Dover attend one of three Needham-based summer camps.

The 2011 donation marks the third consecutive year the bank has supported the Reach Out campaign, according to a statement.

"The generous donation made by Needham Bank will help to provide scholarships for children and families in Needham and surrounding communities who might otherwise be unable to attend our summer camp program; we’re grateful for the bank’s support," said Kathryn Lozano, executive director of the Charles River YMCA.

"It gives us great pleasure to contribute to the Reach Out campaign," said Jack W. McGeorge, president of Needham Bank. "The Charles River YMCA summer camp program provides a safe and fun-filled environment for children; we’re proud to support a program that means so much to many families in the communities we serve."
