Needham Bank’s Dedham Haiti Relief Fund, established to assist the people of Haiti devastated by January’s earthquake, has raised more than $4,700 since its inception, and donations are still being accepted.
The town of Dedham continues to collect clothing and other items for shipment to Haiti, and will hold a bake and craft sale this week, with proceeds going toward the cost of shipping a trailer of donated goods to Haiti.
"The outpouring of the community in response to the devastation experienced by our global neighbors in Haiti has been tremendous and we thank everyone who has contributed or plans to donate to this most worthy cause," Jack W. McGeorge, president of Needham Bank, said in a statement.
