Needham-based retail developer RK Centers has acquired a Stop & Shop Supermarket-anchored shopping center in Stoughton for $19.5 million from New York-based Katz Properties Retail.

The complex spans 79,300 square feet on a 5.3-acre property at 278 Washington St. Along with Stop & Shop, tenants include Bank of America, Care Central Urgent Care and Andrade’s Liquors.

JLL’s Nat Heald, Chris Angelone and Jessica Dowd represented the seller.

RK Centers owns more than 8 million square feet of commercial space in New England and Florida, including 2.5 million square feet of acquisitions in the last four years. The company seeks to acquire open-air retail properties in heavy traffic locations with credit tenants, Director of Acquisitions Ken Fries said in a statement.
