ABACUS Asset Management, a commercial real estate asset management firm founded last year by long-time commercial real estate player H. Joseph Morrison III, has opened an office at One International Place in Boston.

The company will provide real estate asset management services throughout New England, with a focus on small to mid-sized office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties in Greater Boston.

Morrison previously worked with Natick-based Crosspoint Assoc. and Braintree-based The Flatley Co. He has been involved in the acquisition of more than 700,000 square feet of commercial space, the development of more than 300,000 square feet, more than 180 lease transactions and more than $180 million in finance deals. He also has been active in the management of more than 5 million square feet and the sale of more than 650,000 square feet of commercial property.
