A team of developers has submitted plans for a mixed-use development with a hotel and several restaurants on a vacant 6.2-acre East Boston parcel near Logan International Airport.

In a letter of intent submitted to the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Fall River-based J. Karam Management Inc. and affiliated First Bristol Corp. said they are teaming with Marshall Development LLC and Marshall Properties of East Providence, R.I. to develop the property at 415 McClennan Highway.

The proposed development includes a 177-room hotel; a free-standing restaurant; a second restaurant that would be connected to the hotel; and a 375- to 400-space parking lot.

The mixed-use development is "intended to meet the needs of travelers to and from Logan airport who might otherwise choose hotel options outside the city of Boston," the developers’ letter of intent said.

The developers said they intend to submit further details to the BRA this month.

James J. Karam, chief executive of First Bristol Corp., could not be reached for comment this morning.
