Boston-based BlueWave Capital, a renewable energy project development company, has hired Trevor Hardy as a partner.
Hardy will be responsible for helping BlueWave expand its geographic reach within New England, the Caribbean and into his native South Africa. BlueWave Capital has recently established a partnership for development of solar projects in South Africa.
Hardy brings high-level acquisitions, development and structured finance experience from the commercial real estate sector. Most recently, he served as senior director and regional finance director at Tishman Speyer, an owner, developer, and manager of real estate across the globe. During his tenure at Tishman Speyer, Mr. Hardy closed more than $1 billion in real estate transactions and was responsible for overseeing 2.5 million square feet of Class A office space in Boston.
A graduate of the University of Port Elizabeth in South Africa, Hardy received a Fulbright Scholarship and a grant from the Skye International Foundation to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received dual Master of Science degrees in real estate development and design technology.
