A new trial version of masslandrecords.com, the official Web site of the state’s registries of deeds, recently launched, and is available to the public to search deeds, mortgages and various other real estate documents online, according to Secretary of the Commonwealth William Francis Galvin, who oversees the Bay State’s 13 registries.
The new version was designed with specific input from the Registers of Deeds who expressed that improvements to the Web site would be helpful and user-friendly. The site’s intent is to provide faster searching and easier access to search criteria, according to a statement from Galvin. The old version of masslandrecords.com will remain in place for an indefinite period of time for those who wish to continue using that site.
Secretary Galvin has asked that anyone using the new site during this trial period provide comments and suggestions to his office.
"The success of this new version of masslandrecords.com depends on the positive and negative feedback we receive from those researching this important information," Galvin said.
