Newton real estate investment and development company Northland Investment Corp., has named Terry McNally chief financial officer and Janice Taylor as marketing manager.
McNally will have responsibility for managing Northland’s accounting and information technology departments and will oversee all financial reporting, accounting processes, cash management, internal controls, tax compliance and information technology from Northland’s Newton headquarters.
McNally is a certified public accountant who has extensive experience running small and large real estate company accounting and finance departments. He worked at Boston Properties for more than 15 years where he rose to chief accounting officer. He also served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at CRT Properties in Boca Raton, Fla. Most recently, he was the managing partner for Taurus Corporate Properties.
"We are incredibly excited to have Terry join our team, bringing his leadership skills and experience to Northland as we prepare for the future and the economy rebounds." said Steven P. Rosenthal, chief executive officer of Northland.
In her new role, Taylor will work closely with executive management, plan and manage Northland’s overall strategic marketing programs, social media and public relations efforts.
Taylor, who will also be based in the company’s Newton headquarters, joined Northland in August 2008 as the community manager at Madison at Wells Branch in Austin, Texas as part of a nine-property acquisition. She has also worked in the graphic design and marketing industry for eight years.
"This new and exciting opportunity will allow Janice to leverage her hands-on property management background and bring that experience to bear on the various marketing initiatives we have planned," said Bill Thompson, senior vice president of Northland’s multifamily and asset management. "We are excited and eager to have Janice on our team to assist our communities, and our firm, with the ever-changing world of marketing and advertising options."
