NSTAR has purchased a 25,310-square-foot industrial warehouse at 300 North Beacon St. in Brighton for $2.6 million.

J. Michael Brasco of CENTURY 21 Shawmut’s Commercial Group represented the seller, Truck Equipment Boston and Electric Realty Trust in the transaction, according to a statement.

"Our client had explored a variety of exit strategies for their Brighton property including redevelopment and long term leasing to a single tenant," said Brasco. "We were successfully able to negotiate terms and conditions for our client that justified a sale of their property. We understand the newly acquired property will be raised to make way for a sub-station to service the growing energy needs for NSTAR customers."
