Boston’s Fenway neighborhood could be one step closer to seeing the Boylston Street corridor knitted together, as developer Steve Samuels awaits tonight’s decision from City Hall on his planned mixed-use project.

The Boston Redevelopment Authority will vote tonight on Samuels’ approximately 700,000-square-foot, $250 million project, which reaches 13 stories in one section.

Samuels hopes to create a $250 million residential, office and retail center at the corner of Boylston and Van Ness streets. He hopes to begin construction on the 225,000 square feet of office space, 165,000 square feet of retail space and 150 residential units in the spring of 2012.

The Boylston Street project would take the place of a car wash and parking garage. Samuels also built 1330 Boylston St. across the street and the Trilogy project around the corner, helping create a walkable "urban village" that city officials and neighbors have cited as a goal for the area.
