OneShield Inc., an insurance software and services provider to the property and casualty markets, has leased nearly 30,000 square feet of office space on the second floor of 62 Forest St. in Marlborough.

OneShield currently occupies space at 300 Friberg Parkway in Westborough, which the company

will vacate this summer.

Tim Latham of Lincoln Property Co. and Kevin Malloy of Avison Young represented the tenant in the transaction. OneShield is moving to "upgrade the quality of their headquarters facility and to take advantage of significant concessions being offered by landlords along Interstate 495," according to a statement from Lincoln.

"OneShield was looking to create a more cutting-edge image for their headquarters that better reflected the insurance software products they offer. In addition, they were looking to take advantage of an improving, but still relatively soft Marlborough office market," said Latham, a senior vice president for Lincoln, in a prepared statement.

The landlord, Great Point Investors, was represented in the transaction by John Lashar, partner, Paul Leone, senior vice president, and Sam Hallowell, associate, of Richards Barry Joyce & Partners.
