Luke Ostrowski of Newton has joined Citizens Bank’s Boston office as a mortgage loan officer.

Ostrowski will originate a wide range of home financing programs, including both conventional and government loans. He specializes in jumbo loans.

He has been a mortgage loan officer for eight years. He worked at JPMorgan Chase for six years and came to Citizens Bank from Bank of America, according to a statement.

Ostrowski is a member of the Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Greater Boston Caron Leadership Council, a foundation that supports substance abuse treatment.

"Citizens Bank is committed to the mortgage business and, specifically, to growing our home financing operation in the Massachusetts market and throughout our retail anking geography," said Ellen Steinfeld, senior vice president in the bank’s home lending solutions division.
