John Patriakeas recently joined Haverhill Bank as vice president, compliance officer and BSA officer.

He is responsible for ensuring the bank conforms to federal and state banking rules and regulations. Prior to joining Haverhill Bank, Patriakeas spent nearly 18 years at Eastern Bank, where he held various management positions. Most recently he served as the vice president of compliance and operational risk. He is a certified regulatory compliance manager.

"John’s background in banking and, especially, compliance and operational risk brings a significant amount of knowledge to the bank," Haverhill Bank president and CEO Thomas L. Mortimer said in a statement. "Banking regulations change regularly and it’s critical to stay on top of the requirements. John’s experience in regulatory interpretation and implementation is a terrific asset to the bank."
