JoMaria Velez has been appointed as a mortgage consultant at Holyoke-based PeoplesBank.
Velez, who has more than 28 years of banking experience, will be responsible for residential mortgage business in Springfield, Wilbraham, Monson, Palmer and surrounding areas in her new role, according to a statement.
Velez is a member of Business Networking International, the Realtor Association of Pioneer Valley and volunteers at the Springfield Homeless Shelter.
