PetEdge, a pet supply wholesaler, has leased 216,780 square feet at Billerica Commerce Center in Billerica.

PetEdge will occupy approximately 35 percent of the building, a 612,685-square-foot warehouse and distribution center at 90 Salem Road. The long-term lease, which was signed at the end of the fourth quarter 2009, marks the largest single-story new lease signed in eastern Massachusetts during the past year, according to a statement.

The CBRE suburban team of David Corkery, first vice president, and Mark Reardon, executive vice president/partner, negotiated the lease on behalf of ING Clarion Partners. Greg Klemmer, principal, and Tim Brodigan, vice president, of Winchester-based Klemmer Associates represented PetEdge.

The property, will serve as the primary distribution center for PetEdge, which operates a second distribution center in Reno, Nev., according to a statement.
