Legendary investor Peter Lynch and his wife Carolyn have purchased a new home in Brookline.
Lynch managed Fidelity Investments’ Magellan Fund for 13 years. The fund grew to become one of this biggest and most profitable mutual funds in the world, valued at over $19 billion when he retired from active management in 1990. The Lynches are also noted philanthropists, founding The Lynch Foundation in 1988.
The 1.47-acre Brookline property was originally built in 1928 and features a seven-bedroom, five-bath 8,697-square-foot main house was last sold in 1999 for $3.2 million.
The Lynches already own homes in Marblehead and Boston.
