PivotDesk has opened a new 5,000-square-foot shared office space location for entrepreneurs and start-ups at Boston’s Innovation and Design Center.

Pivotdesk will begin taking reservations today for workspace that can be reserved on a month-to-month basis. PivotDesk users will have access to all IDB services and programming.

The IDB in the Boston Marine Industrial Park is one of approximately 60 commercial properties in eastern Massachusetts where Pivotdesk rents unused office space to start-ups through its online listing service.

Real estate developer Jamestown acquired the lease on the city-owned Innovation and Design Building in 2013 and has been renovating the 1.4-million-square-foot former warehouse for a variety of commercial users.

“Our partnership with PivotDesk breaks down the real estate barriers that are restricting access to early stage companies, growing teams and businesses looking to expand into Boston,” Michael Phillips, president of Jamestown, said in a statement.
