The Piantedosi Butcher Shop in Plymouth will be expanding and adding three positions with the help of a micro-loan in the amount of $50,000, recently received from the South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corp.
"We are very pleased to provide the working capital needed by Piantedosi Butcher Shop to expand their business in these difficult economic times," said Maria Gooch-Smith, SEED’s executive director. "Our hope is that we are able to assist more small businesses in Plymouth in the upcoming months."
SEED Corp. is working closely with the Plymouth Office of Community Development and the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce in an effort to support the small business community by providing the technical and financial assistance they need, the organization said in a statement.
Piantedosi Butcher Shop is a family run business located at 282 Court Street in Plymouth. The business was founded in 1995 by the father and son team of Chickie Piantedosi and Erik Piantedosi who are committed to providing top quality products to their customers.
"As the intermediary for the SBA Micro Loan Program, SEED has access to a total of $3.5 million to assist viable small businesses with loans to enable them to continue operating in these difficult times," said Gooch-Smith.
