Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino is set to unveil a $63 million energy efficiency initiative at Boston Housing Authority facilities across the city.
The project is expected to save the BHA more than $56 million over a 20-year period and will reduce the BHA’s CO2 emissions by 13,000 tons annually.
The project will affect approximately 4,300 apartments at 13 developments throughout the city.
Details will be announced today at 2 p.m. at a press conference at the Bromley Heath Housing Development in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
