Transwestern yesterday announced Steve Purpura has been named Transwestern RBJ market leader for the Northeast, spanning Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The current regional president, Patrick Robinson, has left the firm to pursue other interests.
Purpura co-founded Richards Barry Joyce & Partners in 2001 and previously served as a vice president at Trammell Crow Co. Purpura was part of the Richards Barry Joyce & Partners team that was acquired by Transwestern in 2013.
Under Purpura’s leadership, the firm will expand its agency leasing, property and facilities management, tenant advisory, capital markets, research and sustainability services, Transwestern RBJ said.
"Steve and his partners built the preeminent real estate firm in Boston, and his broader leadership role will create a more powerful and robust firm to serve our clients in the Northeast and immediately heighten our profile in the market," Chip Clarke, Transwestern’s president in the Americas, said in a statement.
