Quincy-based exhibit design firm Hill & Partners is in the process of moving to new office space it has purchased in Weymouth that is more than double the size of its current space, as the firm plans to expand its workforce in the next few years.

The company will move from 2,800 square feet in Quincy to a 6,500-square-foot space at 25 Mathewson Drive in Weymouth, occupying the entire second floor of the building. The new location is being designed to allow for additional office space, because Hill & Partners plans to increase its employees from 18 to 25 over the next two years, according to a statement.

Hill & Partners’ build-out plans include an interior sliding glass wall and door system, which retains the open look and feel that is already part of the Hill & Partners culture.

"It was very important to us in planning this new space to avoid the appearance of being behind closed doors," said Michael McMahon, CEO of Hill & Partners. "We are in a very visual business and it is important to us that our working environment reflects that."

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
