Pittsfield-based Berkshire Hills Bancorp Inc., parent of Berkshire Bank, has announced yesterday that that hockey legend Ray Bourque and Boston Bruins left wing Milan Lucic will serve as spokespersons for the bank.
As spokesmen, Bourque and Lucic will endorse the bank’s financial services and products.
"America’s most exciting bank just got a little more exciting! We are pleased to be partnering with Ray Bourque and Milan Lucic. Both are known for their extraordinary talent, dedication to the community and leadership on and off the ice," Michael P. Daly, president and CEO, said in a statement. "At Berkshire, we share these same core values and attributes. With Ray and Milan on our team, we hope to highlight our commitment to excellence, which has enabled us to grow into the regional bank we are today."
Bourque wanted to get involved with the bank after meeting Daly.
"The minute I met Mike Daly, I knew this was the right place for me," he said in a statement. "Our chemistry was great and I’m impressed by the Berkshire Bank culture including their ‘life is exciting, let us help’ principles. I know we’re going to have fun together and make a difference in the community."
2011 Stanley Cup Champ Lucic agreed.
