Richards Barry Joyce & Partners (RBJ) received three awards at the Commercial Brokers Association’s recent awards dinner. 

The firm was honored with the "Deal of the Year" award in the life sciences, industrial and suburban office categories.

"We are very pleased to be honored by our peers in the Commercial Brokers Association for our efforts on these three noteworthy transactions," Robert Richards, RBJ’s president, said in a statement. 

For the life sciences deal of the year, RBJ’s Robert Richards and Chris McCauley represented the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in a 154,100-square-foot lease at 360 Longwood Ave. in Boston.

To win the industrial deal of the year – RBJ represented Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers in the sale of 325 Turnpike Road in Southborough. The 339,000-square-foot building was purchased by Ken’s Foods for $15 million. The transaction was the largest owner/occupier warehouse purchase completed during 2012, according to a company statement. The RBJ team included John Lashar, Chris Skeffington, Paul Leone and Roy Sandeman. 

The suburban office deal of the year was clinched when the RBJ team of Jonathan Varholak and Ron Friedman represented The Gutierrez Co. in a 424,000-square-foot build-to-suit project with Green Mountain Coffee Roasters at 43-63 South Ave. in Burlington.
