Greater Boston’s RE/MAX Leading Edge has purchased three RE/MAX offices to expand the franchise to Newton, Waltham and Watertown.
RE/MAX Leading Edge currently has offices located in Arlington, Winchester and Woburn. With six offices in total, RE/MAX Leading Edge hopes to achieve the No. 1 marketshare in all their primary markets in 2011.
Paul Mydelski, broker/owner of RE/MAX Leading Edge, will add 32 agents to his franchise with a total of 110 agents.
The offices had been known as RE/MAX First Realty, and had been owned by Allan Fields. Fields will retain an ownership stake in the merged franchises, and will remain in his current management role.
"We’re looking forward to a continued growth period," said Fields. The merge was prompted by a desire to increase the firm’s reach and marketshare, Fields said.
RE/MAX Leading Edge plans to continue hiring agents for the new offices through a selective recruiting process and extensive training courses. The new offices will also be actively involved in community service work that RE/MAX Leading Edge has always taken part in, including work with Children’s Miracle Network and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Massachusetts Affiliate. Each office is involved in the local initiatives in their respective communities.
"Paul has utilized his outstanding determination and leadership skills to turn RE/MAX Leading Edge into a successful franchise," said Jay Hummer, RE/MAX of New England’s executive vice president and regional director. "We are thrilled with Paul’s achievement and we look forward to watch and support his continued success."
Before acquiring RE/MAX Leading Edge in 2001, Mydelski owned a Prudential office. With more than two decades worth of real estate experience, he said RE/MAX is able to attract the finest agents in the business.
"With our new offices, I look forward to continuing to support the best agents in the industry and continuing to grow our business and the RE/MAX brand," said Mydelski.
