hotel room key cardHotel revenue for Boston remained strong throughout October, according to a recent report from Colliers PKF Consulting.

The report found that the hotel industry is experiencing continuing improvement, with a 4.7 percent increase in average daily rate and a 5.4 percent occupancy increase, resulting in an overall 10.4 percent boost to Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) as compared to the same time last year. The RevPAR improvement was greatest (26 percent) for the Route 495 South area and smallest for Back Bay hotels (3 percent).

Mid-priced hotels with average daily rates of between $100 and $150 had the greatest increase in profitability, at 22.9 percent growth in RevPAR.
