Rockland Trust Bank has opened a new branch in Needham that joins existing branches in nearby Newton and Wellesley.
Located at 1450 Highland Ave. across from Needham Town Hall, the new branch features two ATMs with live teller services. Like those at Rockland Trust’s downtown Boston location, the video tellers provide customers with additional hours of service, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
In addition to video, text and audio capabilities, the ATMs offers check scanners and signature pads while dispensing cash in multiple denominations.
Other branch features and capabilities include an open floor plan with conversation areas, and a dedicated business banking officer and an investment management financial consultant.
The branch will be led by John O’Hara, who most recently served as a branch manager at Berkshire Bank and previously held several positions with TD Bank. He will manage a team of three relationship bankers.
“We’re delighted to join the Needham community and expand Rockland Trust’s presence in the Needham area,” Margaret McCarthy, senior vice president of retail branch administration at Rockland Trust, said in a statement. “John’s industry experience and local relationships will be a great asset for our organization and for our customers.”
Rockland Trust opened a branch on Needham Street in Newton two years ago.
