Christopher Oddleifson, Rockland Trust president and CEO, has been named the 2011-2012 campaign chairman for the United Way of Greater Plymouth County.
Oddleifson was selected for the volunteer position because of his longtime support of the United Way, both on a personal level, and as a corporate supporter through Rockland Trust, according to a statement. Rockland Trust has been the largest workplace campaign contributor to the United Way of Greater Plymouth County for the past 20 years.
Oddleifson’s responsibilities as campaign chairman will include leading the campaign committee and enlisting companies in greater Plymouth County to hold workplace giving campaigns for the United Way.
"I cannot overstate the importance of having Chris Oddleifson as the new campaign chair of our United Way campaign," said Dennis Carman, president and CEO, United Way of Greater Plymouth County. "Chris’ incredible business acumen and his desire to improve the lives of the people living in the communities served by both Rockland Trust and United Way of Greater Plymouth County will insure that needed resources will be raised to meet the most urgent needs of our neighbors."
"I am honored to serve as campaign chairman for the United Way of Greater Plymouth County, as I have seen firsthand how their good works benefit the community," said Oddleifson. "Their mission aligns perfectly with Rockland Trust’s commitment to strengthening our communities."
