The Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation has awarded a $7,820 grant to Franciscan Hospital for Children.

The grant allowed the hospital to purchase a Dynavox Maestro, a communication device that enables children to communicate and interact with family members, peers and adults in a variety of environments.

"Franciscan Hospital for Children provides vital services to those who need specialized assistance, a cause Rockland Trust is happy to support," Jane Lundquist, director of the Rockland Trust Charitable Foundation, said in a statement.  "It is a pleasure to support an organization that values community as much as we do."
